Position Overview
The Sustainable Operations team ensures the Foundation’s workplaces are safe, efficient, and aligned with its sustainability goals. Through strategic oversight of facilities, workplace administration, logistics, and vendor management, the team integrates environmentally conscious practices into daily operations. It leads efforts in net-zero and sustainability strategy, implementation, and performance tracking, while fostering innovation and cross-functional collaboration. By managing infrastructure, space planning, and internal services across locations, the team supports a high-quality, inclusive, and future-ready work environment.
Pay Range: $126,500 - $145,000. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundation’s pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
Work Schedule: This role is based in New York, NY, and required to be in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Net-zero strategy: Leads global Net Zero project management, guiding cross-functional teams through planning and implementation. Drives internal change management to align departments with emissions reduction goals, embed sustainability into daily operations, and foster long-term accountability.
- GHG-management: Oversees greenhouse gas (GHG) tracking, analysis, and reporting across operations. Develops systems to monitor emissions, identify reduction opportunities, and ensure compliance with international standards and organizational targets.
- Market solutions: Evaluates and manages procurement of market solutions to greenhouse gas emissions, such as renewable energy, sustainable aviation fuel, or carbon credits to be determined. Partners with vendors and internal teams to ensure sourcing aligns with climate goals and financial priorities.
- Strategic Planning and Analysis: Leads the sustainability strategic planning process, integrating climate objectives into broader organizational strategies. Conducts financial analysis of sustainability initiatives to evaluate cost-effectiveness and long-term impact. Leverages AI tools to enhance data analysis, forecasting, and decision-making across sustainability initiatives. Uses automation and predictive modeling to optimize resource use and identify high-impact opportunities.
- Stakeholder management: Facilitates collaboration across departments to embed sustainability into operations, procurement, and planning. Champions change management practices to build internal capacity, shift mindsets, and support a culture of innovation and climate leadership.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Wide-ranging professional experience and a full understanding of sustainability management, and net-zero strategies, and accounting.
- Generally expected to have at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
