Job Summary:
Administers and manages complex enterprise technology solutions. Acts as primary support and central point of contact on large or multiple systems with significant impact across the firm. Extensive contact with internal customers, other technology professionals, and vendors is required to identify, research, analyze, and resolve system issues and problems. Applies specialized domain knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Makes judgements and recommendations based on analysis and knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide lifecycle migration of business and enterprise applications.
• Deploy developer code through automation pipelines and/or manually.
• Modifying or Creating F5 (Vips) for application HA.
• Understand the impact of firewall segments between SDLC environments.
• Troubleshooting with Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Wireshark and/or Windows IIS logs.
• Registering application or services via installation or editing of the HKLM registry.
• Coordinating with multiple IT teams to meet the objective of migrating applications through SDLC lifecycle (Dev, QA, Prod)
• Communicating with project managers and developers on progress and bottlenecks (escalations).
• Performs implementations and upgrades in compliance with security guidelines.
• Ensures availability, security and integrity of assigned systems.
• Evaluates and identifies ways to automate, streamline, and improve day-to-day maintenance and administrative practices.
• Installs or coordinates installation of patches and releases on development, test, pre-production, and production systems.
• Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding application availability.
• Effectively manages communication between end users, vendors, and IT departments to solve production, pre-production, test, and t environment problems quickly.
• Maintains current description and documentation of application configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.
• Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree MIS, Computer Sciences, Business or related degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience preferably in systems or application administration or a combination of education, training and experience as approved by Human Resources.
Knowledge of the following highly preffered:
• Concepts, principles and practices of systems administration of Application and Web technologies.
• 2 years’ experience supporting applications in multi-tiered environments using Microsoft OS’s, Linux, AD, DNS, SQL, and F5 tools.
• 2 years’ experience supporting IIS applications with load balancing and changing modification settings for stability.
• 2 years’ experience understanding and implementing security and access controls on all supported applications
• 2 years’ experience documenting/developing user guides for supported applications
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment and following SDLC principles
• Troubleshooting all aspects of IIS applications during migrations with different IIS versions and/or .net frameworks. Including using utility tools to detect traffic patterns and encryption processes.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with monitoring tools and dashboards; Datadog, DynaTrace, Splunk
• Experience with scripting tools and/ or automation: Powershell, Python, Bash, Ansible.
