E-Commerce Clerk

📍 Turners Falls, MA | 🕗 Full-Time, In-Office | 📅 Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

The Center for Responsive Schools (CRS) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused E-Commerce Clerk to support the daily operations of our online bookstores (Responsive Classroom and Fly Five) as well as reseller channels such as Amazon and Ingram. This role is key to ensuring timely and accurate order processing, inventory management, and excellent customer service for educators and schools nationwide.

What You’ll Do:

Working closely with Finance and Operations leadership, you’ll play a vital role in order processing, inventory control, and customer support, helping CRS deliver resources efficiently and accurately.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and invoicing online, email, fax, and reseller orders within 24 hours of receipt.

  • Monitoring order emails and phone lines, with responses and processing completed within 2 hours whenever possible.

  • Responding to customer and reseller inquiries by phone or email within 24 hours.

  • Monitoring reseller portals (Amazon, Ingram, etc.) and providing timely bi-weekly and monthly reports.

  • Running weekly inventory reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring product listings are accurate.

  • Coordinating with shipping and storage partners to resolve order issues, returns, and discrepancies.

  • Supporting Accounts Receivable and Finance with reporting and reconciliations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience in e-commerce, finance, AR/AP, or clerical operations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; advanced Excel skills required.

  • Experience with NetSuite (or ability to learn within 60 days); SuiteFoundation certification preferred within 6–12 months.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

  • A dependable, professional, and collaborative disposition.

Additional Requirements:

  • Regular, in-person attendance at our Turners Falls, MA office is required.

  • Ability to use a computer and phone for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally (50 lbs. preferred but not required).

  • Occasional travel may be required.
