GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Residential Living Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring all activities, duties and responsibilities of the Residential Advisors on shift. The Center Residential Living Supervisor will also ensure compliance with the Policy Requirement Handbook (PRH) requirements for the residential department.
Job Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
· Supervises and oversees Residential Advisors and ensures student needs are met in a timely, professional manner. · Provides monthly and weekly activity reports to the Center Residential Living Manager and Center Director. · Prepares reports and objectives for the residential living component with the guidance of the Center's Residential Living Manager. · Ensures order and discipline are maintained in dormitories while promoting self-discipline and an awareness of others by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring staff and student behavior according to the Career Success Standards. · Ensures orderly and clean-living conditions are maintained in a timely and professional manner through delegation and participation with Residential staff. · Oversees social skills and student leadership sessions and guides as appropriate. · Assists students in handling special problems and conducts dormitory meetings, including collaboration with other departments when necessary to ensure that student issues and concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion. · Ability to assist staff and students in conflict resolution practices and methodologies, to reach a reasonable and equitable solution to issues. · Other duties as assigned. |

· Performs work under minimal supervision. · Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. · Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. · Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. |
QUALIFICATIONS |
· Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. · Social work, education management and/or counseling degree preferred. · At least 1 year of experience in a related field. |

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS | |
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. | |
OTHER REQUIREMENTS | |
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). May be required to possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must be certified in CPR and maintain throughout employment. CPR may be obtained during orientation. Required to meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare. Hours 3:30pm - 11:30pm MUST BE FLEXIBLE - HOURS VARY
