Mission
Join our dynamic team as a Site HR & EHS Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy, ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, and driving organizational excellence. Your mission will be to partner with business leaders, implement HR policies, and oversee environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives to create a safe and productive work environment.
Job Activities
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders in planning, performance reviews, and operational activities.
- HR Policy Implementation: Interface with department heads and managers to implement HR policies and ensure compliance.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Authority to halt any process that endangers personnel safety, impacts the environment, or affects product quality.
- IMS Communication: Ensure managers understand their roles and responsibilities related to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manpower Planning: Plan and adjust short- and long-term manpower needs according to business evolution and budget.
- Organizational Development: Advise department managers on organizational choices and staff development.
- Recruitment and Induction: Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and induction of managers, technicians, supervisors and other personnel.
- Training Management: Manage training plans and monitor training costs.
- Compensation and Benefits: Ensure consistency in compensation and benefits policies across the site.
- Learning and Development: Conduct assessments of learning and development needs, including soft skills and leadership training.
- Disciplinary Management: Handle disciplinary issues and develop action plans based on employee surveys.
- Internal Communication: Deploy internal communication policies to keep employees informed.
- Legal Compliance: Stay informed about legal evolutions in social law and evaluate current policies.
- HR Reporting: Monitor and report on monthly HR-related metrics.
- EHS Control Plan: Ensure the full implementation of the EHS control plan, including training, maintenance, sampling, and monitoring.
- EHS Integrated Management System: Establish, implement, maintain, and operate the EHS Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance and communication of its requirements.
- Performance Reporting: Report on the performance of the environmental management system to top management.
- Incident Analysis: Analyze accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses to develop action plans with management.
- Legislation Compliance: Evaluate working conditions and site conformity to legislation, advising plant management on non-conformance issues and proposing improvements.
- Corporate and Legal Reporting: Ensure timely completion of all required corporate, divisional, and legal reporting, analyze data, and recommend actions.
- Chemical Approval: Approve new chemicals for use in the plant and ensure proper management.
- Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and participate in response and coordination efforts during emergencies.
- Safety Audits: Manage safety audits and the Top Safety Observation Program.
- Energy Management: Coordinate follow-up with the Energy Champion and manage energy programs.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in HR / EHS generalist or management roles.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, IATF 16949, and legal compliance in HR and safety regulations.
- Education: Relevant degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Attributes: Ability to analyze data, propose improvements, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively, and foster a positive and engaged culture.
