Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our IT Financial Management team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial operations of a global insurance enterprise, with a focus on IT financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and evaluation of business cases for IT initiatives, including return on investment (ROI), total cost of ownership (TCO), and value realization.
- Support budget development and forecasting processes for global IT spend, including data collection, consolidation, and reconciliation.
- Conduct variance analysis on IT expenses vs. budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Help prepare executive-level presentations that summarize financial results, project performance, and strategic recommendations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with Finance, IT, and Project Management teams to gather financial insights and contribute to reporting.
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives related to IT financial governance and reporting.
- Leverage Excel, PowerPoint, and financial planning tools to deliver accurate and meaningful financial data.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the intersection of finance, technology, and business strategy.
- Solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan) is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, global environment.
- High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
