Summary & Objective
The HR Coordinator will support all aspects of the Human Resources department with an emphasis on recruiting and onboarding and general administrative duties to ensure that HR workflow is efficient and effective.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with Human Resources Generalist to ensure full completion of pre-employment paperwork and initial file set-up.
- Participates in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel. May assist in the interview process as needed.
- Cross-trained as a Human Resources Generalist to serve as back up for recruiting, onboarding, benefits, W/C and other HR related functions as needed.
- Screens and assist with recruitment of applicants in order to meet high volume onboarding need.
- Assist with administration of fingerprints, processes requests for background and reference checks, and verifies new hire information, including I-9 documentation as needed.
- Administrates Human Resources information in EMR System.
- Maintenance of all HRIS transfers and terminated employees.
- Maintains accurate and compliant personnel files and reports.
- Works with management and maintain impartiality to resolve general employee issues.
- Maintains a barrier-free line of communication with the rest of the HR/Payroll team
- Work collaboratively with organization-wide departments and roles to develop and integrate process improvement.

Other Duties
- Assists the Human Resources Department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Prepares employee files.
- Makes photocopies, faxes and emails documents, and performs other clerical functions.
- Effectively coordinate multiple projects from different sources with competing timelines and meet hard deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to change/new processes as necessary for continuous process improvement.
- Detail oriented and very organized.
- Work product must be accurate and is subject to random and frequent auditing.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Maintain required licenses, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
- Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Provide other duties of other team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- May serve as an interim department leader depending on need (if needed)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- Associate’s s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources required.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and current regulations required.
- Must have knowledge of computer Microsoft Office/HRIS software.
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English and Spanish languages.
