Job Title: MD Administrative Assistant 

Reports to: Chief Ministry Development Officer

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

 

The Ministry Development (MD) Administrative Assistant is a full-time role primarily responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Ministry Development Officer (CMDO), the MD Director Team, and the Children’s Division.

 

ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION

 

Must have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and be in full agreement with the Bible Study Fellowship Statement of Faith, Human Sexuality Policy, Core Values and Cultural Commitments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   

 

Support for Chief Ministry Development Officer:

  • Manage calendar and schedule meetings.
  • Coordinate MD and Study Program Staff Prayers.
  • Facilitate initial scheduling and communications for onboarding for new MD employees 
  • Assist with data and board reporting
  • Arrange travel accommodations
  • Assist with budgets and expense reports
  • Assist with special projects and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Support for Children’s Division:

  • Provide administrative assistance related to background screening and safety

Support for MD Director Team:

  • Schedule director meetings and team gatherings.
  • Provide supplemental administrative support as needed.

Support for MD Team:

  • Initial response to standard field inquiries.
  • Administer the MD SharePoint site.
  • Coordinate MD stand-up and team meetings.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Skills – 
    1. Intermediate proficiency with office software like Microsoft Office Suite, email/calendar management, and database tools. 2-3 years’ experience with these products.
    2. Proven ability to use various technology platforms and quickly learn new tools as needed
    3. Proven advanced organizational skills, time management, excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • Qualifications & Experience – 
    1. Minimum of two years in a BSF class leadership position (class staff position preferred).
    2. Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative role in a workplace (preferred).
  • Spiritual Requirements 
    1. Thorough understanding of the Christian faith and its doctrines and the BSF Statement of Faith
    2. Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with fellow employees
    3. Study the Bible in preparation for each weekday’s group meeting
    4. Lead staff prayer time and your table group Bible study as reasonably requested
    5. Prepare for and attend each Day of Prayer
    6. Participate in teaching and training events as reasonably requested 

 

Employees may be required to travel as necessary, including outside their country.  

Employees will be required to attend in person employee events as scheduled by BSF.

Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, guidelines and procedures of BSF, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Modular office environment
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Possible eyestrain from looking at computer screen for long periods of time
  • Travel twice a year to staff events, or where designated, as required.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION  

  • This position is based in Dallas/Ft. Worth
  • Must be willing to travel to designated locations for staff gatherings, team meetings, class visits, and other ministry events as determined.  
  • All applicants, regardless of location, must be able to work during the hours of 8-5pm, CST, Monday through Friday
