We’re searching for an eCommerce Manager who will own the performance, optimization, and growth of our digital storefront. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution—responsible not only for improving conversion rates, but also for managing our website, and development partners to ensure a seamless, revenue-driving customer experience. If you’re equal parts analytical, creative, and operational—with a proven ability to scale eCommerce performance at a high-growth brand—you’ll thrive here.
We are located in Louisville, KY. This job does have remote options.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. All full-time employees are eligible for health, vision and dental benefits with an employer contribution.
THE ROLE:
As our eCommerce Manager, you’ll be responsible for maximizing online revenue by overseeing website operations, conversion optimization, and the performance of our development team. You’ll be the quarterback of our digital experience—ensuring that customers find our site fast, frictionless, and stocked with the products they want.
You’ll partner cross-functionally with marketing, creative, operations, and product teams to ensure that our site not only converts, but also reflects the quality and trust Cornbread Hemp is known for.
WHO YOU ARE:
- A digital operator who can balance the art and science of eCommerce—data-driven yet customer-obsessed.
- A leader who can manage cross-functional projects and external partners with clarity and accountability.
- A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and doesn’t shy away from rolling up their sleeves.
- Obsessed with creating a best-in-class online shopping experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Website Operations & Development
- Manage the web development team (internal and/or external partners), prioritizing projects and ensuring timely, high-quality execution.
- Own the Shopify storefront, including site updates, product launches, and new feature implementation.
- Ensure the website stays up-to-date, secure, and optimized for SEO and performance.
Website Funnel Optimization
- Audit and monitor conversion rates across all stages of the funnel (homepage → collection page → product page → add to cart → checkout).
- Identify drop-off points and prioritize high-impact optimization opportunities.
- Partner with design and dev teams to improve usability, page speed, and mobile-first experience.
- Rapidly identify, hypothesize, and execute A/B tests to uncover high-impact opportunities that boost conversion rates.
Landing Page Testing & Optimization
- Build and execute A/B and multivariate tests on landing pages, especially for paid traffic campaigns.
- Optimize for performance metrics like CTR, add-to-cart rate, and checkout completion.
- Continuously refine offers, messaging, layout, and calls-to-action.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Partner with supply chain/ops teams to ensure inventory availability and alignment with site merchandising.
- Manage product launches and coordinate cross-functionally for seamless go-to-market execution.
- Oversee product information accuracy (pricing, descriptions, imagery, compliance).
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with the CMO to align eCommerce strategy with paid acquisition, email, and lifecycle marketing.
- Provide input on promotions, bundles, and offers to maximize online sales.
- Stay ahead of eCommerce and CRO best practices, tools, and emerging trends.
SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 5+ years of eCommerce experience, ideally at a CPG brand ($25M+ revenue).
- Proven track record of scaling online revenue through CRO, merchandising, and site management.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify, the Shopify page builder, and A/B testing software like Shoplift.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics/GA4, Hotjar, or other common measurement tools.
- Experience managing developers/agencies and overseeing site build/maintenance projects.
- Experience with e-commerce merchandising and upsell apps like Rebuy and Because.
IT’D ALSO BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Basic coding and page building skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Page Builder) to set up more complex tests without full developer support.
- Understanding of SEO and page speed optimization principles.
- Experience in CPG, health & wellness, or regulated industries.
- Experience in Github and repository management.
