Summary of Position The Director - HRBP is responsible for driving talent and business outcomes for designated client groups within Boston Mutual. Reporting to the VP of Employee Experience and Engagement, a successful

Director - HRBP proactively works with leaders to understand business objectives and challenges, collaborating closely with the People Team functions to deliver people-centered initiatives that positively impact the business and the employee experience. Manage the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. Expectations and Deliverables • Be a trusted advisor who leads with integrity, respect, high personal standards, and works to build personal credibility through collaboration. • Be a true partner with business leaders and management on organizational effectiveness, such as ensuring proper staffing needs, defining roles, and improving organization effectiveness. • Consult with business leaders and management on talent planning, succession planning, and employee development. • Partnering closely with business leaders, people managers, and Talent Acquisition staff/function on sourcing, team needs, and hiring top talent for critical roles. • Build relationships with business leaders/people managers on operating/service delivery model of HR - creating a partnership of client deliverables. • Work with business leaders to identify learning opportunities and conducting needs assessment for specific departments. • Championing the BMLUniversity and other organizational development programs including development and delivery of learning circle sessions for all staff – i.e. StandOut, 5 Languages of Appreciation, and BML365. • Build talent strategy and workforce plan that supports the achievement of business leaders’ goals and priorities. • Educate managers to become early adaptors of corporate initiatives. • Provide ongoing guidance to managers, including performance management, compensation best practices, employee career pathing and development. • Partner with managers on employee relations issues. • Proactively addressing employee feedback and escalating to the appropriate team members/leaders. • Create a consistent, positive work atmosphere through the communication and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures. • Support an on-boarding process that sets new employees up for success. • Support functional leaders’ ability to improve individual and team engagement through effective communication, recognition, and reinforcement. • Supporting and administering wellness activities. • Supporting and administering Employee Appreciation program. Demonstrated Talent and Track Record • General background with experience in talent and organizational development, employee relations, performance management, HR operations. • Ability to make informed decisions for the business with little to no oversight in regards to process or changes to process. • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations required; multi-state knowledge beneficial

Qualifications & Knowledge Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required. Experience: 7-10 years of progressive experience in HR as well as experience with engaging with multiple levels within a company. Knowledge Requirements: • Knowledge of HR policies, practices and federal and state laws. • Vast working knowledge of HRIS systems including ADP • Strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability; ability to use independent judgment, manage sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality of information. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong recruiting capabilities with the ability to recruit and work with a diverse employee and candidate population. • Demonstrated sound and consistent judgment, initiative and the ability to deal with complex, evolving situations. • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively manage competing priorities. • Ability to excel in a fast paced, deadline driven environment; self-directed with the ability to work collaboratively or individually. • An independent strategic thinker capable of understanding the full scope of projects while seeing individual tasks through to completion.

• Learn, interpret, prepare and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures. Certifications/Licensures: HRCI/SHRM certification required.
