Job Description:Key Responsibilities
- Sector Risk Analysis: Monitor and assess credit risk across key U.S. sectors (e.g., manufacturing, retail, construction, agriculture, extractive industries), with occasional coverage of Mexico and Canada.
- Macroeconomic Insight: Translate macroeconomic and political developments into sector-level implications and corporate credit risk assessments.
- Data Storytelling: Develop and maintain large datasets; extract insights and communicate them through compelling narratives and visualizations.
- Public Engagement: Present economic forecasts and sector insights to internal stakeholders, clients, and public audiences.
- Media Strategy: Collaborate with the US Lead Economist and communications teams to enhance Coface’s visibility in business media.
- Content Creation: Draft and edit economic research notes, press releases, and thought leadership pieces.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly present complex economic findings to non-expert audiences, including clients, journalists, and executives.
- Experience: Up to 5 years of experience as an economist, credit analyst, or in a related role within financial services, government, or media.
- Education: Degree in economics, finance, or business (quantitative orientation preferred); additional training in journalism or communications is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with data visualization tools and infographics is advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent writing and oral communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
- Media Savvy: Familiarity with business media and public discourse; experience engaging with journalists or public relations is a strong asset.
- Personal Attributes: Analytical, curious, rigorous, and collaborative with a strong sense of accountability.

- Compensation: Competitive base salary + commissions
- Base ranges dependent on experience: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00
