Position Description
Travel Required
Major/Essential Functions
- Oversees/assists with the daily operations of Athletics' photographic services.
- Manages and plans the composition of event shooting schedules, coverage, and student hours.
- Manage promotional shoots, game day/events/competition images for athletics programs and special events (home & away).
- Oversees freelance, travel, and equipment budgets.
- Establishes feature concepts to be utilized by teams and athletes.
- Utilizes technical and creative knowledge to advance brand identity through photography services.
- Applies artistic vision to capture photos of athletes during sporting events.
- Establishes, executes, and enforces digital and social guidelines and best practices.
- Utilizes analytics to determine the best opportunities for asset usage and management.
- Collaborate with the communications staff, marketing staff, and rights partners to identify storylines and develop a cohesive message, branding, and strategy for all Texas Tech Athletics' social media accounts.
- Utilize the INFLCR platform to provide up-to-date photos and videos of current student-athletes to assist with branding through name, image, and likeness (NIL).
- Explore emerging spaces and platforms that can be used to elevate the Texas Tech Athletics brand.
- Maintains relationships with student-athletes and the coaching staff to meet the brand's needs.
- Comply with all the NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous intercollegiate/professional athletic photography experience.
- Substantial experience with and knowledge of publishing and creative software, including Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
- Excellent oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
