SMG is seeking a local EHS Advisor/Owner's Rep in Boulder, Colorado.
Overview of Job Responsibilities
- A review of the existing area and consideration of all adjacent equipment, buildings, property boundaries, etc.
- A review of the ongoing design for new equipment in the area
- Identification of potential incidents resulting in fire, explosion, or release of toxic gases and vapors, as well as an assessment of the credible consequences of these events
- Quantitative assessment of the impact that these incidents could have on occupied buildings
- Evaluation of proper facility siting based on appropriate codes (NFPA, IFC, IBC, NEC, API, etc.)
- A report stating the findings and making reasonable and pragmatic recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of EHS experience
- Previous pharma experience is a plus
- Degree in EHS or related fields
- Previous experience with the following codes: NFPA, IFC, IBC, NEC, API, etc.
Physical Demands of the job may include
- Moving about long distances
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather
- Being exposed to loud noises
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly
