Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Manage the full lifecycle of client accounts, including policy setup, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims assistance
- Review client coverage to ensure policies meet their current needs and recommend adjustments as necessary
- Proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products or services
- Prepare and present insurance proposals, quotes, and renewal packages to clients
- Communicate with carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and resolve coverage or billing issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system
- Ensure all transactions comply with industry regulations and internal procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Prior experience in insurance account management, customer service, or a related field; knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines products
- Active state insurance license (Property & Casualty); willingness to obtain if not already licensed
- Strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain high satisfaction levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly and confidently
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using agency management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and online carrier portals
- Skilled at identifying issues, finding solutions, and making sound recommendations
- Works well independently and within a team environment, supporting collective agency goals
- Accuracy in policy processing, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, adapt to industry changes, and adjust priorities as needed
