Description
This position is for our 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm.
Summary of Position:
To print digital labels, tags, and sleeves on a variety of substrates for a variety of finishing applications on a Mark Andy P5.
Essential Duties:
- Print quality digital products with high quality standards, minimal scrap, and acceptable productivity levels.
- Troubleshoot printing issues on digital press and takes self-initiative to solve technical issues.
- Have training at HP beginner level.
- Inform immediate Supervisor of key issues daily.
- Set a good example for all employees by displaying an excellent work ethic, being a team member, and observing all company policies.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Works excellent with peers, Supervisor, and Management.
- Can work independently without supervision; takes self-initiative to help others.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Goal oriented and accepts new job challenges.
- Knowledge of graphic design helpful, but not necessary.
- Color separation skills and understanding of color matching.
- Good computer skills.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to accurately record data into handwritten logs and/or various computer programs, such as Excel or an MIS software.
- To remain vigilant for/safeguard against sanitation, pest control and contamination concerns.
- It is the responsibility of all team members to ensure product integrity. Product should be monitored for signs of contamination or quality defect and issues segregated and reported.
- It is the responsibility of all team members to ensure process integrity. Potential sources of contamination or impacts to performance or quality should be reported promptly.
Training and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.

- lifting up to 50-75 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
- Subject to noise.
- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and climbing.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes and vapors from varnishes, various chemicals, or cleaning agents.
