Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties.  We are seeking an RN Quality Analyst to join our Quality and Integrated Care team.

Shift:
Part time
64 hours per bi-weekly pay period

The RN-Quality Analyst assists with organizational compliance to current quality program and quality measure standards and regulatory requirements. The RN Quality Analyst is responsible for data collection, validation, submission, and distribution related to clinical outcomes and public reporting.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Maintains a level of competence and completes self-education for the publicly reported measures currently required, and future elements proposed and planned. Has an awareness and understanding of the quality programs and measures such as Inpatient Quality Reporting, Outpatient Quality Reporting, Value-Based Purchasing, private payor metrics, Promoting Interoperability, and other publicly reported metrics
  • Performs chart abstraction, validates electronic clinical quality measures, reviews claims-based quality measures, and communicates structural measures. Follows abstraction rules to evaluate quality and appropriateness of care based on pre-established quality measure specifications
  • Develops and maintains skills in data collection, data submission, data analysis and education. Monitors and analyzes data and facilitates teams to ensure the achievement of quality, clinical and cost outcomes identified as organizational priorities. Identifies trends, areas of excellence, and recommends improvement activities
  • Works closely with departments involved when gathering or interpreting data or when recommending actions for change in practice/processes through chart review and validation
  • Participates in department and organizational committees as needed
  • Provides Administration, Staff, and Providers ongoing education on any changes to measurement processes, report interpretation, projects, upcoming changes, or other topics as they apply to quality measures related to their practice
  • Utilizes quality measure specifications, best practice, and evidence-based criteria in making decisions regarding policy/procedure development and data collection
  • Works closely with other Quality Analysts in the QIC Department

Requirements of this position include: 

  • Associates Degree - Nursing required
  • Bachelors degree-Nursing preferred
  • At least two years’ experience as an RN required
  • Experience in team facilitation and data collection; experience in quality management/performance improvement preferred
  • Excellent understanding of the Quality Improvement Process, excellent communication and organizational skills, diplomacy with the ability to work well with other disciplines and levels, acts as an agent for change, and ability to collect and interpret and act on data
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products preferred
  • WI RN license required
