What to Expect
The Sr Software Developer (Salesforce) is responsible for designing, building and optimizing Salesforce Solutions using OmniStudio components and other Salesforce products to automate complex business processes to deliver a seamless user experience. In addition, this role will architect and contribute to IDX implementation (Industry Data Model / Industry Exchange) and leverage industry-specific best practices for solution delivery.
What You Will Do
1. OmniStudio Design & Development
· Build & configure OmniStudio components, reusable assets that can be leveraged across multiple solutions.
· Optimize Integration Procedures and Data Raptors for speed and efficiency.
· Ensure OmniScripts and FlexCards deliver intuitive, responsive and user-friendly experiences.
· Maintain clear documentation for OmniStudio components, including design decisions, configurations & technical flows.
2. Salesforce Industry Cloud (Automotive) Implementation
· Industry Data Model (IDX) Alignment, configure solutions and ensure data objects, relationships and hierarchies reflect best practices.
· Map business processes like Dealer Management, Vehicle lifecycle, customer engagement to Salesforce Industry Cloud Capabilities.
· OmniStudio Asset Development to configure guided flows for processes like lead-to-dealer routing and service requests.
· Participate in design workshops, provide technical demos and POCs
3. Production Support & Issue Resolution
· Monitor, triage & resolve issues in OmniStudio components.
· Analyze performance of OmniStudio assets and tune configurations for faster response times to reduce API consumption.
· Coordinate hotfixes and minor releases with DevOps, CI/CD releases.
· Document Root Cause Analysis & preventive measures.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Solution Design
· Collaborate with BSA, PO for business requirements, clarify functional requirements and translate them into OmniStudio technical designs.
· Ensure designs align with enterprise architecture standards.
· Align with integration teams for API specs, external system connectivity & IDX model usage.
· Ensure OmniStudio solutions work seamlessly across Salesforce Clouds
5. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing
· Review Salesforce release notes with a focus on OmniStudio & Industry Cloud Updates.
· Explore new features & capabilities in sandbox environments to assess business value.
· Maintain mandatory certifications.
What You Will Bring
· Minimum 8 years of salesforce implementation experience with at least 2 full lifecycle projects involving OmniStudio.
· Strong experience in building and optimizing Data Raptors and Integration Procedures.
· Hands-on experience with at least two Salesforce Industry Cloud (Automotive to be one) Solution.
· Experience with IDX (Industry Data Model/Industry Exchange)
· CI/CD (E.g. Copado) experience for deployment and release management.
· Familiarity with Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce a plus.
· Hands-on experience in Salesforce communities, Portals & Experience Cloud.
· Experience in Salesforce Shield, Backup and Document generation tools.
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field.
· Salesforce Omni studio Certification
· Salesforce Technical Architect, Platform Developer Certifications is a plus
· Design, develop and implement OmniStudio components, including Data Raptors, Integration Procedures, OmniScripts and Flex Cards.
· Provide expertise in OmniStudio solution architecture and actively contribute to design workshops and client discovery sessions.
· In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products (Automotive Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and features like automation, reporting, and integrations.
· Architect solutions leveraging Salesforce Automotive Cloud, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build end-to-end solutions, ensuring scalability and compliance with best practices.
· Utilize CI/CD Pipelines for release management and version control in salesforce projects
· Maintain up to date knowledge of Salesforce capabilities with a focus on Automotive Industry Clouds.
· Ability to recognize agile methodologies and able to adapt and formulate hybrid approaches.
· Professional written and verbal communication – able to talk for technology to non-technical audience.
· Champion continuous improvement, recognize risks, plan to mitigate and best in class software development process.
Work Environment
