POSITION SUMMARY:
The EPIC Campus Coffee Shop Manager (Kitchen Manager) must ensure that the coffee shop is operating efficiently and effectively within all safety guidelines. Responsibilities include the coordination of all activities and management duties including supervision of student interns, planning, ordering, and preparing meals for students. They are responsible for developing and promoting good community relations amongst various community and school clientele including but not limited to students, parents, administration, and school-based staff. Plan, direct or coordinate activities of an organization or food service department that serves food and beverages. This position has direct oversight of a kitchen operation.
The EPIC Campus Kitchen Manager must possess the ability to connect with students, staff, and community members in a positive and supportive manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assumes the role of the working manager. In addition to managerial responsibilities, this employee participates in the preparation serving, cashiering, and sanitation tasks.
Responsible for following district revenue handling procedures.
Meets health department sanitation standards in all areas.
Ensures that student interns follow safety policies and practices consistently and worker's compensation procedures are followed.
Follows all HACCP Plan mandates including completing checklists and following standard operating procedures.
Notifies supervisor of any personnel issues and keeps these issues confidential.
Stays current with all district and department communications including voicemail and email. Attends manager meetings as directed. Share all information with kitchen staff promptly.
Ensures all staff is trained as directed.
Participates in all required meetings, training, and development.
Carries out all tasks and directives given by the field manager or the Nutrition Service central office members.
Other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED desired
Must have management skills and physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the job
Possess strong written and verbal English communication skills
Prior management experience preferred
Three years of experience in Child Nutrition is preferred

STARTING SALARY RANGE: Classified Employee Schedule: Grade 6 step 3 - $22.98 per hour
WORK YEAR: 200 Contract days per year
FTE: 1.0, 8 HOURS PER DAY
