A Little About Your Day: You will:
- Prioritize job duties for the entire crew while working closely with departments to fill orders company-wide effectively and productively.
- Manage the operations team providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Work with department managers company-wide, including branch management associates, Sales, Purchasing, service and rental, and Operations Management, to ensure warehouse operations are operating in an effective and efficient manner to meet customer needs.
- Ensure workplace safety is a top priority and guidelines are adhered to.
- Manage truck safety including safe loading, and coordinate with Fleet Manager on truck maintenance and repair.
- Participate in decisions regarding delivery times, route schedules, and other logistics for delivering the product.
- Assist in fulfilling special orders that require additional attention and perform stock counts to ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Oversee and supervise the Inventory Control team.
- Work with Inventory Control and the Maintenance Department to work on the creation of additional storage space in both the main distribution center and the branch locations.
- Recheck all orders for Hardware Spot to determine if they were picked correctly and shipped in the costliest and most effective way.
- Prepare and process UPS and freight bills for outbound shipment, ensuring they are paid and charged to the customer if applicable.
- Are a strong leader, always working to ensure an efficient, effective, and safe work environment.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Are detail oriented letting nothing “slip through the cracks”.
- Recognize the importance of a well-run operations to meet customer’s daily and changing needs.

- High school degree or equivalent required.
- College degree in related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ management/supervisory/lead experience in a Distribution environment responsible for warehouse/driver management.
- Valid Driver’s License.
