About the role
- Typing legal documents, correspondence, emails and meeting notes (including transcribing audio dictation)
- Handling new client onboarding, file opening/closing and compliance procedures (including AML)
- Managing diaries for fee earners, including arranging client meetings
- Checking and distributing legal documentation
- Archiving legal documents and maintaining accurate records on ISOKON and digital systems
- Supporting fee earners with billing activities, credit control and debtor chasing
- Uploading and maintaining digital records and archiving client files
- Assisting with probate and estate administration tasks, including handling client money transactions in line with firm protocols
- Filing probate applications and maintaining the Probate Register
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients and third parties via phone, email and in writing
- Drafting simple legal documents (including Wills, LPAs and estate administration documents) unsupervised
- Liaising with external organisations and clients in a helpful and professional manner
