This is for a 9 month fixed term contract.
Here's what you'll be doing
Developing and implementing a robust compliance governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards
Monitoring changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and conducting assessments to identify potential compliance gaps (horizon scanning)
Designing and delivering engaging compliance training programs for employees and communicating updates to all relevant stakeholders
Assisting with the preparation of crucial compliance reporting materials for senior management, the board, and various committees
Responding to compliance inquiries from both internal colleagues and external partners, building strong relationships
Maintaining meticulous records of all compliance and governance activities to ensure transparency and accountability
We're looking for someone who is
Knowledgeable with an in-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and specifically the FCA SMCR and Conduct Regime
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of clearly conveying complex compliance requirements to all levels of the organisation
Highly analytical and a skilled problem-solver, adept at identifying risks, gaps, and developing effective, practical solutions
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate records
Proactive and adaptable, with a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate potential compliance issues and adjust to evolving regulatory landscapes
Ethical and of high integrity, committed to sound judgment and fostering a culture where compliance is truly valued
