Our Challenge:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Guidewire Policy Center Configuration Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining innovative policy products within the Guidewire PolicyCenter platform. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions while adhering to best practices.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Warren is $115-135K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new policy products within Guidewire PolicyCenter, ensuring they meet business needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, conducting code reviews and promoting adherence to best practices.
  • Break down complex tasks into manageable actions, monitor daily progress, and ensure timely delivery of team assignments.
  • Collaborate closely with the business architecture team to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Convert business requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions within the PolicyCenter framework.
  • Maintain and promote best practices in architecture and design within the Guidewire ecosystem.
  • Leverage available accelerators and tools to expedite the implementation process.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the QA team on potential impacts, supporting thorough test case creation and regression testing.

Must Have skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8-12 years of overall IT experience, with at least 6+ years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire products, particularly Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Proven track record of leading Guidewire development teams and successful implementation of Guidewire products.
  • Strong background in system configuration, integration, and cloud implementations (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of unit testing practices, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with executive stakeholders and fostering cross-team collaboration.
