Procurement Manager bei Blue Water Autonomy

Role Summary

We’re seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing operations that ensure our teams have the materials and services they need — delivered efficiently and on budget. 

Responsibilities

• • Manage the day-to-day procurement function, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing. 

• • Partner with engineering and business operations teams to define requirements for technical components, materials, and services. 

• • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for technical components, services, and materials 

• • Generate and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring compliance with company procedures. 

• • Track orders and deliveries, proactively resolving delays or issues. 

• • Coordinate payment terms and logistics with vendors and internal stakeholders. 

• • Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and vendor communications for financial and audit purposes. 

• • Support inventory tracking and integrate procurement activities with accounting processes. 

• • Continuously refine procurement workflows and vendor performance to improve efficiency and cost control. 

Qualifications:

• • Have 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, ideally in a technical or engineering-driven environment.  

• • Excel at organization, attention to detail, and juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting 

• • Negotiate effectively with vendors 

• • Communicate clearly with teammates 

• • Proficient with procurement tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office 

• • Familiar with accounting and inventory principles 

• • Have experience sourcing hardware / technical components 

• • Take ownership of tasks from start to finish and are proactive about problem-solving 

• • Value collaboration and clear communication across departments
