As the Technology Modernization Principal - Product, Data, & Automation, you’ll serve as a growth leader in the practice for your Technology Modernization Solution Family – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with other Principals and Managing Directors in the Product, Data, & Automation and broader Advisory practices and sell and deliver quality work on engagements because together is how we succeed. Your day-to-day may include:
- Leading and supporting business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients.
- Collaborating with other solution, industry, and geography leaders in the organization to develop integrated messaging and offerings to serve clients holistically.
- Collaborating with the internal industry leadership teams in either the distribution, manufacturing or technology industries in to grow and diversify the client base and expand solutions offered to clients.
- Supervising and overseeing all aspects of engagements and coordinating the work performed by the various internal teams.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with clients and working effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services.
- Performing engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
- Actively participating in recruiting to identify, interview and secure top talent at both the campus and experienced levels.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members and serving as a career coach for Senior Managers and Directors.

- Other duties as assigned.
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced or Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 13 plus years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing clients at a national level.
- Relevant Oracle product, and/or consulting (e.g., PMP) certification required. If you do not hold a relevant certification at time of hire, you must be able to earn one within 18 months of starting with Grant Thornton.
- Prior business development and sales experience is required.
- Prior experience in practice and team development is required.
- Prior consulting experience at a firm comparable to Grant Thornton required.
- Extensive experience in the distribution, manufacturing industry required.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed. Expect 50% travel.
