Job Summary
Performs critical technical accounting processes to ensure compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Perform certain technical accounting processes that include preparation of monthly/quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Research Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting treatment for new transactions or other matters and prepare memos or present findings to support accounting conclusions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Identify and assess accounting and reporting risks, and recommend control enhancements to mitigate those risks.
  • Evaluate current procedures to identify opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Support special projects and perform miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in Accounting
  • Eligible to sit for CPA Exam

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of technical accounting processes
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Knowledge of SOX regulatory standards
  • Research skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form with various audiences

This role offers an annual salary range based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary we provide an annual bonus opportunity.
