As a Site of Care Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing market access strategies, developing high-value partnerships, and leading account performance across health systems, payers, and group purchasing organizations. This position combines strategic thinking, B2B relationship building, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure patients get the care they need—where they need it most.
What will you do?
- Drive business growth and patient access across assigned accounts by meeting and exceeding KPIs in health systems, GPOs, physician buying groups, and payer segments.
- Lead contracting strategies from development to implementation, in alignment with internal stakeholders like Legal, Commercial Ops, and Sales.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships across large, complex healthcare organizations.
- Leverage data and analytics to shape customer engagement strategies and support market insights.
- Partner cross-functionally with field sales, legal, and regulatory to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact, leading strategic planning and execution.
- Use internal tools like Salesforce to capture key observations, performance metrics, and customer insights.
- Stay informed on access challenges, healthcare policy, and trends to influence local and national strategy.
How will you get there?
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant advanced education or certifications a plus.
- 10+ years in pharma or medical device sales, with demonstrated success in strategic account management.
- Strong business acumen and contract negotiation skills, particularly within large healthcare systems.
- Experience in market access and formulary navigation, including working with payers and decision-makers.
- Ability to communicate complex clinical concepts to diverse, non-clinical stakeholders.
- Cross-functional leadership in a matrixed environment, with a team-first mindset.
- Ophthalmic or specialty therapeutic experience preferred but not required.
- Advanced data and analytics use, with the ability to interpret trends and guide strategy.
- Strong ethical conduct and autonomous drive, with a patient-first approach.
- Experience managing multiple products or portfolios in complex sales cycles.
