Here’s What You Need
·Bachelor's Degree required
·Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred (Individual hired as a CLS II/CLS Lead prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS Lead position with existing education)
·Four years’ experience/and training in a Medical Laboratory required
·Two years’ Leadership experience preferred
·Blood bank experience preferred
·MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist upon hire required Or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist upon hire required Or Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology upon hire required Or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology upon hire required Or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank upon hire required

What You Will Do
·Management of Core Lab competencies and education.
·Ensures all lab processes meet regulations and company quality standards as defined by CAP.
·Establishes and maintains quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls.
·Responsible for the Core Lab CAP proficiency test program.
·Ensures that performance and quality of CAP proficiency testing meet established standards. Manages the investigation performance if necessary.
·Manages the qualification and validation for processes and quality control support activities.
·Acts as advisor to supervisors or staff to help meet established deadlines or resolve technical or operational problems.
·Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with procedures in cooperation with manager to maximize assay reliability and minimize costs.
·Oversees quality assurance coordination and reports findings/ makes recommendations for corrective action.
·Additional projects as assigned.
