The Rover will support our Regional Managers who are charged with ensuring TCS is committed to going the extra mile to provide the ultimate security services our clients seek and deserve. A. Requirements and Responsibilities 

• Rover has the following responsibilities to include but not limited to the following: 
• Rover will conduct security patrols. 
• Rover will display exceptional customer service and communication skills. 
• Rover will assist with call-offs and last-minute coverage. 
• Rover will preserve order and enforce rules, regulations and directives for the viability of the site and the safety of personnel, equipment and sensitive information . 
• Rover will maintain a healthy, professional relationship with our client at the assigned site. 
• Rover will direct traffic and inspect vehicles. 
• Rover will retrieve paperwork and other materials from various sites. 
• Rover will assist with new contract start initiatives. 
• Rover will immediately replace any Officer for any reason detrimental to the client or company, or that violates the contract or any company policy. 
• Rover will know site-specific operations, performance manuals and post orders  

 Rover will immediately notify the Supervisor and PM if: 

1. A Security Officer isn’t present. 

2. A Security Officer isn’t performing their duties as required. 

3. A Security Officer is suspected of being Under the Influence. 

4. Or any other reason detrimental to the client or company.  

B. Administrative Duties 

• Rover will provide administrative support to the RMs. 
• Rover will submit inspection, incident, corrective actions, and all required documentation daily. 
• Rover will collect and inspect sign-in and out sheets.. 
• Rover may be required to input time in the company timekeeping system. 

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Rover must be 21 years of age. 
• Rover must have all or be eligible to obtain training as determined by RMs. 
• Rover Must have or be able to obtain a Maryland Guard Card, Guards unable to transfer a current Maryland Guard Card will not be placed on post until credential is obtained 
• Rover must have at least three years of security experience. 
• Rover must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record (candidate must submit current copies of both during onboarding).   
• Rover  Must have vision corrected to 20/20 in one eye and 20/30 in the other  
• Rover must be capable of exercising judgment and acting quickly in an emergency. 
• Rover must be of such temperament and maturity as to be able to function under physical threats and verbal abuse without taking such behavior personally  
• Rover must submit and pass an initial and recurring drug test(s)
• Rover must agree to an initial and recurring criminal background check
• Rover will be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Rover must comply with the company’s Fitness for Duty policy

Training 

Armed Rover must have and/or receive and maintain initial and recurring training including but not limited to the following: 

• Customer service training 
• Maryland HQL and CCW 
• 12-hour Security Training 
• OC Spray, Baton, and Handcuffing 
• CPR, Narcan, and First Aid 
• De-escalation and Dealing with Difficult Customers training 
• Any other training mandated by the company or required per the contract 
• All training required by the Director of Security 

Pay  

$20/ hour  

Schedule 

Wednesday -Saturday, 8am-4pm
