The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Job Summary
The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will enforce safety procedures for all of the company to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops environmental health and safety policies and procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitors compliance with safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an EHS management system focused on employee involvement, environmental performance, injury prevention and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that EP² is compliant with relevant local, state, and federal safety and environmental laws, regulations, permits and programs.
- Ensure records are maintained in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety laws, regulations, permits and programs.
- Prepares and submits safety and environmental data and reports as required by local, state, and federal laws, regulations, permits and programs.
- Assess new developments, laws, and regulations in the environmental, health and safety field that may have application to the company's operations and presents them to management.
- Investigates employee injuries, safety-related accidents and environmental incidents and assures implementation of corrective actions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 2 - 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or a related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
- Leadership skills, such as the ability to motivate a team and provide feedback.
Physical Requirements
- Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
