Your role
We are seeking a detail-oriented CISO lead in Latin America who is based in São Paulo, Brazil. You will play a key role in identifying, escalating and leading cross functional task forces to address Cyber and Information Security risk within the Latin America region. You will also be responsible for managing the relationships with the UBS business leads and assisting the local teams with managing any cyber requirements and/or queries from clients as well as with the respective regulatory agencies.
Your responsibilities
The CISO LATAM will play a critical leadership role in our organization, reporting to CISO Americas. This role is instrumental in building strong alignment with the business and partnerships across regional and global stakeholders.
• serve as the CISO LATAM, reporting into the Americas Head of CISO
• partner with CISO, Technology Services across the firm to ensure on-track remediation of key cyber-related matters
• coordinate information security responses across the organization to regulatory examinations, cybersecurity audits, attestations and performing gap analyses against new or updated mandates
• demonstrate compliance to laws, regulations and industry standards that govern cybersecurity through the application of standards and the best methodologies including NIST and ISO
• promote cyber hygiene and information security risk transparency, responding to cyber incidents, and providing security training and awareness
• develop reporting and brief on a periodic basis regarding the status of the information security program, key initiatives including threats, incidents to management, including but not limited to, Board of Directors, IT / Business Management and Risk Committees/Forums
• develop regulatory and management reporting initiatives, ensuring consistency across regions & divisions, including global coordination across multiple countries
• assist LATAM business units and management in managing Cyber Information Security (CIS) risks
• support LATAM business units in addressing client and 3rd party requests for information on CIS related topics
• ensure alignment with the CISO operational risk oversight activities inclusive of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience
• assist larger CISO Americas teams as appropriate
• foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying up to date with the lates security trends, technology and best practices

You will be working within the Americas Chief Information Security Office, which is part of the Global CISO team under the Group Operations and Technology Office (GOTO). The CISO team is responsible for overseeing cyber and information security strategies, risk, and resilience of the UBS Group, ensuring effective governance and control across the organization.
Your expertise
• a university degree, ideally in computer science or similar field
• cyber and Information security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC) are an advantage
• strong leadership skills to coordinate actions across multiple functions and stakeholders
• excellent communication skills both written and oral to convey critical messages to stakeholders of all levels, Subject Matter Expert functions and with external parties including vendors and regulators
• strong problem-solving & analytical skills
• ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the organization
You are:
• a strong leader and communicator
• organized with a strong ability to identify and prioritize potentially material cases and detail orientated
• familiar with internal / external / LATAM regulatory CIS requirements and in 3rd party security risk oversight and assessment
• fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English
• able to communicate both written and verbal for business key partners and management audience. Excellent negotiation, influencing and analytical skills are highly desired
• flexible and able to think creatively and to identify new ways to approach old problems
