Job Summary:

The Leasing Manager will be responsible for managing leasing personnel and executing all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, lease renewals and resident retention and interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy. This includes generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation and completing move-in paperwork and procedures.  Provides high quality resident service and conveys resident service requests to the Maintenance Supervisor and other associates.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

LEASING AND MARKETING

  1. Handles telephone and on-site traffic, provides information about apartments and the community to prospective residents, schedules visits to the community and shows made-ready apartments.  
  1. Successfully closes new sales, leases apartments and determines if prospective residents meet community qualifications.
  1. Maintains an accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.

SUPERVISORY/LEADERSHIP

  1. Performs duties normally associated with a supervisory position of leasing personnel such as hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplinary counseling of leasing personnel.
  1. Conducts weekly staff meetings to establish leasing goals and objectives
  1. Works closely with the Community Manager to develop an integral team that effectively sells the quality and professionalism of the organization.
  1. Offers recommendations to management regarding improvements to the overall operation of the community and assists the overall team effort through effective leadership.
  1. Maintains CRM platform to ensure completion of daily goals

ADMINISTRATIVE

  1. Accurately and efficiently prepares and assists with all leasing paperwork (i.e. applications, lease agreements and addenda and move-in packets).
  1. Completes service requests and communicates requests to the maintenance staff on a timely basis.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of residential leasing experience
  • Someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and organized
  • Knowledge of Yardi or similar software’s is preferred
