ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Reserve Ambassador / Concierge, you will be the face of guest services, representing Vermejo's commitment to curating exceptional and personalized experiences for every guest. This dynamic role combines superior concierge services, comprehensive knowledge of our unique offerings, and proactive engagement to exceed guest expectations.
You will also be responsible for:
- Overseeing external vendors by providing clear feedback and training. Facilitating cross-training opportunities and conducting periodic site inspections. Ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.
- Actively promoting and booking guest reservations, activities, spa treatments, and dining experiences. Utilizing sales techniques to enhance revenue through thoughtful up-selling and cross-promotions.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of Vermejo's offerings and use this knowledge to guide guests in crafting unforgettable stays. Maintaining active and personalized communication from initial booking through to departure.
- Managing guest itineraries and corresponding via phone and email to customize experiences. Serving as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for guests during their stay.
- Working closely with Activities, Transportation, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Front Desk teams to synchronize guest experiences. Communicating itinerary changes promptly and take initiative to ensure seamless service.
- Taking ownership of guest interactions and follow up proactively to ensure a flawless experience. Regularly engaging with guests to gather feedback and resolve any concerns.
- Assisting with Front Desk operations as needed, providing an all-hands-on-deck approach to guest service.
- Organizing and executing diverse guest events, from intimate brunches and lively barbecues to festive holiday celebrations and elegant weddings. Managing logistics, liaising with internal teams, and ensuring every occasion is memorable.
- All other duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and provide exceptional service to guests.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
Preferred:
- Education in hospitality or related field.
- Experience working in a luxury hospitality.
- Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software.

ACCOMMODATIONS
This position will require you to live at Vermejo headquarters, located approximately 40 miles from the closest town (Raton, NM). Vermejo’s location is approximately 4.5 hours’ drive south of Denver or 4.5 hours’ drive north of Albuquerque.
Vermejo offers single- and double-bedroom dorm room style company housing (subject to availability). You may be subject to sharing a room with one other employee depending on the availability of a single dorm room.
You will need to provide or arrange for your own transportation to and from Raton for personal supplies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
On a regular basis, you can expect to:
- Stand; walk; move hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Sit for extended periods of time.
On an occasional basis, you can be expected to be on your feet or perform physical labor for extended periods of time.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
You will regularly be required to work long hours and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
