Saint Joseph's College of Maine is hiring for the position of per diem Lifeguard! Availability during early mornings, evenings and weekends is highly desirable.
POSITION DESCRIPTON:
Supports the Alfond Center’s department of Aquatics by:
- Ensuring the safety of all facility users
- Implementing all emergency and rescue procedures
- Enforcing all pool rules
- Opening, closing, and maintaining the pool
- Notifying the Aquatics Director of maintenance needs
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have current American Red Cross or YMCA certification in:
- Lifeguard with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- First Aid
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Ability to relate well with all age groups, work in a corporative team focused manner and present a professional image
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to concentrate and follow through on all assignments to completion
• Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism
