Position Opportunity:
The Assistant Manager, Accounting is a hands-on and strategic accounting professional with proven problem solving, analytical, and communication skills. This role will perform full cycle month-end closing processes and financial reporting. The Assistant Manager will perform analyses and suggest and drive the establishment of more efficient accounting and Finance procedures. This position requires excellent high level analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards as well as computer skills needed to analyze and confirm accuracy for accounts, transactions, and financial reports. The Assistant Manager will also have experience collaborating with cross functional Senior Leadership, management, and personnel to analyze, assess and improve existing targeted processes and drive new processes. At a manger level, this role will be expected to perform complex and advanced financial accounting, analysis, and reporting activities. This position requires a candidate that is bi-lingual in Korean and English in both written and spoken formats.
How you will make an impact:
- Manage full-cycle accounting and financial close processes in accordance with US GAAP.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including journal entry reviews, cost recognition, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements and create ad-hoc management reports.
- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis, provide insights on variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain cash flow planning, analysis, and project budgets.
- Coordinate and support annual tax filings and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with SOX internal control policies and implement new accounting standards and regulations.
- Apply Cost-to-Cost (POC) accounting and other advanced accounting methodologies as needed.
- Generate management reporting packages, identify financial trends, and highlight areas requiring further review.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, cash flow optimization, and CAPEX/budget management.
- Partner with other departments to provide financial guidance for strategic decision-making.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on variances in financial statements, CAPEX, and cash flow performance.
- Actively participate in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ERP systems, including process mapping and system integration.
- Establish project timelines and milestones, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful ERP implementation.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing industry experience.
- Project-based accounting experience preferred.
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Licenses or Certifications
- CPA a plus, not required
