We’re seeking a driven and experienced Product Manager - Intrusion Alarm Systems to lead our next-generation product lines across SMB and enterprise markets. This role is ideal for someone with both software and hardware experience in the intrusion alarm industry, someone who understands the full product lifecycle of alarm panels, sensors, communication modules, and their integration with cloud and mobile platforms. This employee take ownership of a well-established product line and lead its evolution into the future, shaping innovative, customer-focused solutions that define the next era of security technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for intrusion alarm systems, including panels, peripherals, and communication modules (LTE/IP/Cellular).
- Conduct voice-of-customer research with integrators, dealers, and end users.
- Define and manage product requirements, collaborating with engineering, UX, and operations.
- Collaborate with the larger product team on integration and unification objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes (UL/ETL, CE/EN).
- Drive the Go-to-Market strategy in partnership with internal Sales, Marketing, Training, and Technical Support teams, collaborating with our Channel Partners teams.
- Act as the subject matter expert for sales training, trade shows, and partner engagement.
- Oversee product lifecycle from concept through sunset, including sustaining engineering support.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of product management experience in intrusion alarm systems or related electronic security hardware/software.
- 4+ years of total experience in intrusion alarm systems or related electronic security hardware/software.
- Prior experience at a leading security, OEM, or service provider in the electronic intrusion market
- Proven track record delivering hardware and cloud-integrated security products.
- Strong understanding of UL/ETL/CE/EN standards, encryption protocols, and secure communication.
- Experience with Agile development, Jira/ADO, and hardware release cycles.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into market-facing features and value propositions.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, with comfort presenting to execs and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
- Familiarity with Intrusion Alarm Systems, IP-based security systems, mobile app integrations, and third-party API ecosystems.
- 5 years of product management experience
