About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience or training in animal care or veterinary assistance.

- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or completion of a related training program.
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting.
- Familiarity with medical record-keeping software.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
- CPR and first aid certification for animals.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by handling animals and preparing necessary equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs and behavior of animals before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, kennels, and medical instruments to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners by providing updates, answering basic questions, and offering guidance on animal care.
