The Job at a Glance
The Inventory Solutions Manager is responsible for driving strategic initiatives in inventory analytics, process development, and systems enhancements within the Inventory Planning and Replenishment organization. This role leads cross-functional projects, develops and implements inventory management solutions, and ensures the delivery of accurate, actionable insights to optimize inventory performance and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Analytics & Reporting
- Design and develop metrics, dashboards, and reports to support business needs.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
- Lead ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Process Development & Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce variation and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory-related processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive consistent, repeatable processes.
Systems Enhancements & Implementation
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of new inventory management systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Manage change associated with system implementations, including communication and training.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify technology solutions that support inventory planning and replenishment.
Leadership & Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects with clear timelines, goals, and deliverables.
- Ensure alignment with broader supply chain and business strategies.
To Land This Opportunity
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in inventory management, analytics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Access, SQL, and statistical software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influence skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive measurable results.
- Retail or consumer goods industry experience helpful.
- Experience with large-scale systems implementations.
- Familiarity with inventory optimization principles and tools.
- This is a remote position with occasional travel to our fulfillment centers.
