About the Job
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our highly collaborative and client-focused ER Department. With over 15 veterinarians and more than 40 veterinary technicians and assistants (including VTSs), our ER Department is one of the largest and most advanced in the Tri-State Area working alongside a full team of collaborative of specialists. This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-centered doctor with strong communication skills to contribute to a non-corporate, specialty-integrated environment that supports growth, flexibility, and quality medicine.
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our highly collaborative and client-focused ER Department. With over 15 veterinarians and more than 40 veterinary technicians and assistants (including VTSs), our ER Department is one of the largest and most advanced in the Tri-State Area working alongside a full team of collaborative of specialists. This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-centered doctor with strong communication skills to contribute to a non-corporate, specialty-integrated environment that supports growth, flexibility, and quality medicine.
Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality medical care and wellness services to canine, feline, and exotic patients
• Perform routine exams, diagnostics, and treatment plan
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and home care
• Collaborate with a skilled support team of technicians, assistants, and front desk staff
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in EMRs
• Participate in departmental rounds and case discussions as applicable
• Support our culture of learning, mentorship, and teamwork

Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
• Active New Jersey veterinary license (or eligible for licensure)
• Internship trained or minimum 1–2 years of experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a busy clinical setting
• Commitment to practicing gold-standard medicine in a supportive, team-based environment
• Ability to perform surgery is preferred but not a requirement
