IT Manager - Lynn Community Health Center

The ITS Manager will manage Information Technology Systems (ITS) operations for Lynn Community Health Center, which currently provides primary care and other health services throughout the city of Lynn, Massachusetts. The network supports a large and diverse workforce across onsite and remote locations, including a range of clinical program and administrative positions, and a variety of software applications.

 Reporting to the Director of Digital Solutions, the ITS Manager works closely with our ITS team to provide leadership in developing, integrating, and maintaining systems to serve the growing information technology needs of the health center.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in collaboration with DS leadership to ensure optimal management of ITS systems.
  • Oversee system organization, backup management, and maintenance of software patching and updates.
  • Partner with the Information Security Officer to implement security policies and tools in compliance with HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and other regulations.
  • Develop and implement methods for continuous assessment of ITS systems’ performance.
  • Work with Director of Digital Solutions to manage, supervise, and provide QA oversight for technical staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT operations.
    • Strong understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
    • Experience coordinating and working with outside vendors, contractors, and consultants.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to present and explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
    • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related technologies.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing or supervising a technical team, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS and other cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with project management principles and a track record of successfully leading IT projects.
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT environments, workflows, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, Meaningful Use, etc.).
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Cisco, Citrix, Entra ID, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Windows Server.
  • Familiarity with Epic or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and documentation to support ITS operations and security compliance.
