We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Leader to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives within a healthcare environment. This strategic role will lead the development and execution of data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare data domains, hands-on experience with Informatica tools, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across geographies. MUST be able to be onsite 3 days a week in the Boston area. Potential for 30% US based travel in the future.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of data governance strategies across healthcare domains, including patient, provider, claims, and clinical data.
- Collaborate with business, IT, and compliance stakeholders to define governance policies, standards, and operating models.
- Drive adoption and utilization of Informatica Axon, EDC, and Market Place tools across multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain data governance roadmaps, aligning with modernization efforts from on-premise to cloud-based architectures.
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to offshore and junior data governance consultants, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder education to promote data governance awareness and best practices.
- Integrate data quality management into governance frameworks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data assets.
- Oversee metadata management initiatives to support data lineage, cataloging, and discovery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership, providing strategic guidance and thought leadership on data governance.
- Roll up sleeves to contribute directly to deliverables when needed, especially in fast-paced or high-impact engagements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data governance within healthcare domains, with a strong track record of stakeholder engagement.
- Minimum of 5 successful projects involving Informatica Axon, EDC, and Market Place tools.
- Deep knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and organizational models.
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts and their integration into governance programs.
- Solid grasp of metadata management and its role in enterprise data strategy.
- Experience developing and executing modernization roadmaps for cloud migration and architecture transformation.
- Proven ability to lead workshops, drive consensus, and operate independently with minimal direction.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and influence diverse audiences.
- Experience working with offshore teams and providing detailed guidance to junior consultants.
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. up to 30%.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
