THE ROLE

As a Road Trip Support Agent – Intern at Indie Campers, you’ll gain hands-on experience in customer operations and service delivery. You will support our travelers by helping them have smooth and enjoyable journeys, learning how to manage pre-trip inquiries, on-trip challenges, and internal operational coordination.

You’ll be exposed to a fast-paced contact center environment (calls, live chats & emails) and learn how to assist with customer bookings, operational issues, and real-time problem-solving. Guided by experienced team members, you’ll help ensure travelers get the best experience possible while building skills in empathy, problem-solving, and customer care.


WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Customer & Pre-trip Support

  • Assist with basic customer inquiries about bookings and road trips.

  • Support internal teams during pick-up and drop-off, ensuring smooth communication between customers and local operations.

  • Learn how to provide guidance to travelers on policies, vehicle features, and trip expectations.

On-Trip Support

  • Shadow and assist in handling urgent and non-urgent requests through phone, chat, and email.

  • Learn how to troubleshoot issues travelers may encounter and how roadside assistance is coordinated.

  • Gain exposure to working with insurance companies, service providers, and partners to activate support when needed.

Operational Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Keep records of cases in internal tools (e.g., Zendesk, Talkdesk, CRM).

  • Learn how to communicate with empathy and professionalism when handling service cases.

  • Support the identification and reporting of operational challenges and contribute ideas to improve processes.

  • Assist in developing documentation and self-service content for travelers and internal teams.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Current student or recent graduate in Tourism, Hospitality, Management, or related fields.

  • A people person: empathetic, caring, and dedicated to helping others, especially in challenging situations.

  • Strong interest in customer service, travel operations, and learning in a dynamic environment.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to unexpected situations with professionalism.

  • Great communication skills and team spirit.

  • Fluency in English (mandatory); additional European languages are a strong plus.

  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
