We’re looking for a Territory Sales/Account Manager who will be the face of the VAS brand in the field. You will be building strong relationships, providing expert product knowledge, and driving sales by understanding the needs and goals our clients. Our team builds relationships in every interaction, whether via phone, email, market event, or stepping foot on the dairy!
This role will span across the northeastern states including Vermont, New Hampshire, Main, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and northeast New York (east of Interstate 81). Ideally, this sales consultant would be based out of Albany, NY or northeastern New York to accommodate the territory.
As a key member of our team, you will:
Represent VAS to large herd and enterprise dairy clients, consultants, and veterinarian in order to build and strengthen long-term relationships.
Deliver engaging demos and sales presentations for key VAS products:
Use Salesforce to plan, track, and document visits and interactions.
Own sales revenue goals and territory performance metrics.
Host and manage roundtable and enterprise events to educate and engage key stakeholders.
- Venue partnerships, meeting content creation, speaker coordination, attendee outreach and promotion
Attend industry events and network with clients to stay aligned and up to date of what is new within the industry.
Support academic outreach in your territory by teaching VAS software in university classrooms using DCTeach.
Collaborate cross-functionally, passing service/support inquiries to the appropriate teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Agricultural based degree preferred
A sales mentality; this is a blend of hunting and farming!
Experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience is beneficial but we are open to growing potential
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce is highly beneficial
Excited about presenting to large groups of people clients/prospects
Multi-tasking skills and capable of meeting deadlines
Ambitious, self-directed and motivated to succeed
