Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C/ARNP - Acute Care Surgery (Renton, WA)

Valley Medical Center (VMC) is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our established Acute Care Surgical team of collaborative and collegial providers.

About the position:

  • Join an Acute Care Surgery team providing 24/7 support to the hospital
  • The team includes 7 general surgeons and 1 other APP
  • 1.0 FTE position with 182 shifts per year expectation
  • 10-hour shifts, 7am-5pm
  • Schedule is 7 days on/7 days off
  • No night shifts
  • Day shifts covered by 2 surgeons and 1 APP
  • Typical census: 15-25 patients
  • Average OR cases per 24h: 2.8
  • Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, admissions, consults, bedside procedures, and assisting in surgery (including robotic surgery with training provided)


Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authority

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior surgical assisting experience
  • Prior inpatient care experience

Compensation: $160,000 plus opportunities for extra shifts and up to $10,000 in incentives
