Master's degree in curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with a minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
Demonstrated expertise in planning, lesson internalization, curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment practices.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret student achievement data to inform instructional decision-making.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience providing professional development and coaching to educators.
Knowledge of state and federal education laws, regulations, and mandates related to curriculum and instruction.
Proficiency in educational technology tools and digital resources to support curriculum delivery and assessment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic educational environment.

Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum framework that aligns with state standards, district goals, and best educational practices.
Create and maintain curriculum documents, including scope and sequence, unit plans, pacing guides, and other instructional resources.
Oversee and refine the process for vetting new resources, such as pacing guides, lesson plans, and district-adopted curriculum materials, using a project completion rubric.
Review and evaluate instructional materials, resources, and technology tools on a continuous basis to ensure they align with state curriculum standards.
Continuously revise curriculum materials based on feedback from stakeholders, new research, and student assessment data.
Collaborate with the Academic Team, instructional coaches, and campus leaders to facilitate vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.
Provide and facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators to support effective planning and curriculum implementation.
Onboard and support Curriculum Specialists in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Collaborate and lead regularly scheduled meetings with the Curriculum Team to manage project completion and deadlines.
Ensure timely completion of projects by creating and maintaining a consistent calendar of deadlines.
Attend up to one district-sponsored conference per year related to curriculum, assessments, or educational technology.
Oversee UIL academics, spelling bee competition, and science and engineering fair
Support the development and administration of district-wide assessments, including benchmark, formative, and summative tests.
Implement a robust assessment system to monitor student outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum and instructional strategies.
Regularly analyze student achievement data to identify areas for improvement, address curriculum gaps, and enhance student performance.
Create, maintain, and revise district guidelines for the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
Strategically oversee and track the implementation and outcomes of MTSS to ensure student growth and program fidelity.
Provide, facilitate, and support ongoing professional development on MTSS for district and campus staff.
Develops, implements, and monitors proper inventory control procedures for instructional materials used in the district to ensure appropriate inventory.
Purchases, monitors and provides textbook orders for timely delivery to schools for instruction and redistributes current inventory between schools according to enrollment, schedules, and student needs.
Oversees the receipt, distribution and collection of all instructional materials used in the school district, as well as, coordinating the proper disposal of textbooks which are out of adoption.
Accurately document and maintain records of all subscriptions and purchases related to instructional materials.
As needed, process and facilitate purchase orders for all instructional grants, securing approval from the Director of Curriculum and Instruction before finalizing any purchases.
Serve as a liaison between the district, campuses, and community stakeholders.
Stay current on trends, research, and best practices in curriculum development and instructional design.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Maintain and improve professional competence and relationships with colleagues.
Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
Actively develops others towards goals through the use of timely and constructive feedback, targeted professional learning, personalized coaching, and recognition of accomplishments and strengths.
Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding developing special education issues, changes in the laws and case law, and educational methods of educating students with disabilities, for the purpose of managing an excellent special education program.

Job Description
Position Title: Curriculum Coordinator
Position Hours: Full-time extended workdays, occasional Saturdays, and frequent travel
Position Salary: $76,000.00 annual / Exempt
Length of Term/Employment: 220 workdays / At-Will
Reports to: Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Position Mission:
The Curriculum Coordinator is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence and student achievement across the district. The Curriculum Coordinator will lead initiatives to enhance instructional practices, utilize data-driven strategies to close achievement gaps, and will ensure the alignment, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices and programs across the school district. This position is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to district and campus staff in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies through planning to enhance student learning outcomes.
