JOB TITLE: Business Analyst

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Business Analyst is responsible for connecting business strategy to technical execution by translating business needs into actionable requirements. This role partners with stakeholders across business units to analyze processes, document requirements, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives. The Business Analyst leverages business acumen and technical expertise to design and deliver solutions within Salesforce and other business systems that support organizational goals and initiatives. The Business Analyst will also lead requirements gathering for complex reporting requests and broader business intelligence initiatives, ensuring solutions provide necessary insights for data-driven decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and needs.
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements.
• Participate in discovery sessions with business stakeholders.
• Support the creation of solution requirements documents, process diagrams, and user stories.
• Perform basic data analysis in support of business inquiries or team initiatives.
• Assist in testing and validating solutions meet documented requirements.
• Prepare user documentation and support materials for new or updated systems.
• Participate in UAT planning, execution, and issue tracking.
• Lead discovery and requirement gathering sessions for mid-complexity initiatives.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and partner with technical teams to validate feasibility.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and solution reviews throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business strategy and system designs.
• Support sprint planning and backlog refinement activities, ensuring user stories are accurately translated into work items and appropriately prioritized for successful implementation.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clearly define and document acceptance criteria for all user stories.
• Provide training sessions for employees on new or updated systems and solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience with foundational Agile Scrum principles with history of participation in backlog creation and refinement, requirements clarification, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in analysis, documentation, and data handling.
• Excellent process mapping and requirements documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving business needs and shifting priorities.
• Experience with enterprise system implementations, integrations, and change management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
• Business analysis and design experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Technical experience with Salesforce platform and tools.
• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst or similar certification.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or Tableau).
• Exposure to financial systems or exposure to accounting or revenue management processes.
• Experience working on technical projects that intersect with Finance or Accounting teams.
• Familiarity with integrated payment platforms or payment facilitation technologies.
• Understanding of professional services operations, including project management, resource planning, and time tracking.
