General Description:
Summit Agricultural Group is looking to add an investment Analyst to its investment division, Summit Ag Investors. Since being formally established in 2010, Summit Ag Investor’s footprint has grown to over $5 billion in assets under management across the United States and Brazil. Given the continued growth, we are expanding our team to aid in management of our current investments and evaluation of future opportunities. The individual will be involved in all key areas of the investment cycle: origination, due diligence, execution, portfolio management and investment monetization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create financial models to analyze and project financial statements for portfolio and potential investments.
- Conduct industry and market research to assist in Summit’s business development efforts.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations and other materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Involvement in the transaction process, working closely with other team members and outside service or capital providers such as independent counsel, market consultants, lenders, co-investors, etc.
- Observe macro trends and relevant policy to assess impacts on current and potential investments.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 - 4 years of experience in finance, investments, accounting, or related field. Experience and knowledge of agriculture and/or renewable energy a plus
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication skills with ability to distill complex topics into understandable content
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ambitious self-starter with a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing platform
Position Type:
- This position is full-time with the occasional evening and weekend hours as job duties demand.
- The Investment Analyst or Associate will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
