About the Role
The VP, Software Engineering is an accomplished engineering leader tasked with the transformation of our engineering organization as we integrate our flagship products. You will be reporting to the Sr. VP/ Chief Software Architect and working closely with the architecture team, in order to focus on process optimization, execution excellence, and organizational development. This role is crucial for driving innovation, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
The VP is a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to align engineering initiatives with overall business goals. This role requires exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
This position will be located at our offices in Dallas, TX.
How you will make an impact:
In this role, you’ll:
- Engineering Leadership:
- Design and implement efficient engineering processes that improve productivity, quality, and speed of delivery
- Ensure a unified software development process is aligned with industry best practice and followed among engineering teams
- Drive end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Implement a robust project management framework to manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications effectively
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and results-driven execution within the
- Act as a thought leader within the company, driving innovation and staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Product Integration:
- Partner with the architecture team to execute on the integration of flagship products, ensuring seamless alignment across engineering teams and product lines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Technical Product Management, Quality, UI, Support) to ensure the integrated products enhance value and customer experience
- Organizational Development:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to track and optimize engineering performance and product quality
- Build and scale high-performing engineering teams by attracting, retaining, and developing top talent
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering organization
- Mentor and coach engineering leaders, providing guidance on technical challenges, career development, and leadership growth

Skills and experience you have:
You don’t need to check every box. We will consider a combination of education and experience, including:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, in roles of increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role as a leader of other leaders
- Proven experience in leading large-scale product integrations and complex engineering projects
- Deep understanding of software development processes, methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.), and best practices.
- Strong technical background with expertise in cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, and modern software architectures.

Pay Transparency
At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected annual salary range for this role is $200,000 to $235,000, based on your experience, skills, and geographic location.
Depending on your qualifications, you may be considered for either an Associate Vice President or Vice President title. Final compensation will be determined during the selection process and may vary accordingly.
