West Monroe is hiring a Senior Manager with specialized experience in electric and gas utility Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated solutions to join our Energy and Utilities Practice.  What You’ll Do: 

Business Development 

  • Collaborate with electric and gas utilities turning their geospatial enablement goals and objectives into actionable projects and detailed proposals. 
  • Understand business needs and requirements to develop client-facing proposals, presentations, work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for potential projects acting as a Subject Matter Expert, (SME). 
  • Strengthen client relationships, leveraging your track record of geospatial enablement with new and existing utility clients. 
  • Actively work with industry GIS solution providers and consulting partners building a professional network that allows for greater collaboration. 

Client Delivery 

  • Act as or support leadership or Project Managers in developing GIS focused project plans, milestones, and deliverables on migration and new platform implementation projects/programs. 
  • Facilitate GIS related business processes and technical requirements workshops to develop process maps, requirements documentation, and KPIs for operational functions (e.g., Engineering, Design, Construction/Development, Operations, Maintenance, Inventory/Supply Chain, System Planning, Asset Performance Management, etc….) 
  • Manage teams of project/workstream resources, shared resources, external partners, and business consultants for client programs. 
  • Contribute to the Energy & Utilities consulting practice (methodologies, service offerings, team development) and drive best practice behaviors into the organization. 

Practice Development 

  • Drive growth and development within West Monroe's Energy & Utilities Practice from a GIS service offering, culture, thought leadership and sales perspective. 
  • Establish yourself as an industry thought leader in GIS/geospatial enablement through publications, conference engagements, white papers, and active association membership. 
  • Be able to contribute to the growing Energy and Utilities practice from a business development, and culture perspective. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. (Master’s preferred). 
  • Minimum of 10 years in the electric/utilities industry focused on the migration and/or implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) preferably Esri, Schneider Electric and/or General Electric. 
  • At least 5 years of consulting experience in professional services. 
  • Strong knowledge of GIS, GWD, EAM, APM, WAM, mobility solutions, utility functions, and/or regulatory impacts at Federal and State levels. 
  • Proven experience managing consulting engagements (e.g., strategy development, project/program management, system integration, business implementation, change management business process redesign/optimization). 
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50% annually as necessary).

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
