The Client Advisory Intern will provide reporting and analytical support to the Client Advisory & Wealth Advisory teams. The internship will help develop skills in asset allocation modeling, investment portfolio analysis, fixed income portfolio analysis, tax transition portfolio analysis, client communication, cash management, reporting, and client and prospecting presentations. The internship will culminate in a capstone presentation to senior management with a focus on joining the various aspects of wealth advisory. The Client Advisory Intern will be trained in the use of proprietary and licensed software and databases.
The Bessemer Trust Internship Program:
Our summer internship program offers real world experience working side-by-side with experts from departments and offices across our firm. Working within your designated team, you will manage individual and group projects, interact with senior leaders, and attend a variety of career development sessions. You will also network with fellow interns in-person and virtually, as well as during our intern days held in our New York headquarters.
This 10-week program is designed to mimic the experience of a full-time employee, providing an opportunity to build subject matter expertise and enhance your career at Bessemer and beyond.
Wealth Advisory Responsibilities:
- Help the Wealth Advisory teams with reporting and analysis requests for prospective clients
- Work with the Quantitative Analysis group to provide the Wealth Advisory team with portfolio analyses and proprietary models
- Work with Investment, Tax, and Estate Planning professionals across the firm to develop a thorough understanding of the prospect’s current portfolio and situation
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Client Advisory Responsibilities:
- Handle routine communication with clients and their advisors via telephone, email and fax
- Perform cash management functions and processing payments
- Prepare various customized reports and schedules
- Assist the Client Advisory team with various projects as needed
Qualifications:
- In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree (rising senior preferred)
- Interest in Financial Services; exposure to Private Wealth Management, Investment Management, Investment Banking, or related field preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- An enthusiastic learner
- Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Goal-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation will range between $24-$26 per hour.
