Perficient is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our Product Development Consulting business unit for Atlanta, GA location. This strategic role will support organizations in implementing scaled agile practices, driving product operating model transformations, and enabling continuous delivery across Agile Release Trains (ARTs). The RTE will serve as a servant leader and coach, facilitating program-level processes and execution, escalating impediments, managing risk, and driving relentless improvement.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Partner with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to assess current state and identify transformation opportunities.
- Lead the execution of strategic initiatives aligned with the Product Operating Model (POM).
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing metrics and implementing best practices across ARTs.
- Maintain and evolve a Center of Excellence for agile practices and transformation frameworks.
- Support change management efforts and foster a culture of agility and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product vision, roadmap, and delivery goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and strategic alignment.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in product development or program management roles.
- 5+ years of experience in scaled agile environments (SAFe, Scrum@Scale, LeSS).
- 3+ years of experience leading agile transformations and coaching agile teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Lean thinking, and Product Operating Models.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex program-level initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to engage with executive stakeholders and influence strategic direction.
- Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to support innovation and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to have:
- SAFe RTE Certification or equivalent.
- Experience in consulting environments with strong client relationship management.
- Availability to work onsite in metro Atlanta (Cumberland area) 3 days per week
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $105,100 to $161,900.
